The Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences (SICS), a research institute under A*STAR, needed a corporate brochure that could bridge the rigour of clinical science with the clarity of human storytelling. The challenge was making complex, multi-disciplinary research feel both credible and accessible.
Anchored by the line Changing Tomorrow’s Health, Today, the design system drew on a warm amber palette and organic circular motifs to soften the scientific weight of the content without diminishing its authority. A main brochure introduced the institute’s mission, research programmes, cohort studies, and core platforms, while a suite of individual inserts gave each programme its own voice within a consistent visual framework.
Photography was art-directed to humanise the research — placing people at the centre of the science rather than the instruments around them. The result was a publication suite that communicated with confidence and warmth, reflecting an institution whose work is as much about humanity as it is about discovery.
